Welcome to the Journal of Contemporary Education and Innovation

The Journal of Contemporary Education and Innovation  is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Faculty of Tarbiyah, Cordoba Islamic University of Banyuwangi. This journal serves as an academic platform focusing on contemporary educational issues, learning innovation, and research-based practices that support the development of modern education aligned with global progress and Islamic values.

Journal of Contemporary Education and Innovation accepts scholarly works that explore trends, models, frameworks, and practices in education—especially those that encourage innovation, technology integration, and transformative learning environments.

Scope of the Journal

We welcome manuscripts across a wide range of educational topics, including but not limited to:

  • Educational Innovation and Reform
    New ideas, approaches, and transformative educational models aimed at improving learning outcomes and institutional performance.
  • Curriculum Development and Instructional Design
    Studies related to curriculum renewal, instructional methodology, classroom design, and assessment systems.
  • Technology-Enhanced Learning and Digital Pedagogy
    Integration of ICT, AI, e-learning platforms, digital literacy, gamification, and educational technology practices.
  • Teacher Professional Development and Competency Building
    Models, strategies, and practices aimed at strengthening teacher capacity, pedagogical skills, and leadership in education.
  • Islamic Education and Character-Based Learning
    Studies and practices rooted in Qur’anic values, Islamic pedagogy, akhlaq development, and holistic learning.
  • Educational Management, Policy, and Quality Assurance
    Discussions on leadership, school/madrasah governance, accreditation, educational systems, and institutional advancement.
  • Inclusive Education and Learning Diversity
    Topics addressing special needs education, multicultural education, differentiated learning, and equity-based instruction.
    Journal Objectives

The Journal of Contemporary Education and Innovation is dedicated to:

  1. Encouraging scientific contributions in the field of modern and future-oriented education,
  2. Strengthening the link between theory and applied educational practice,
  3. Facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, educators, and institutions, and
  4. Supporting the development of an innovative, ethical, and globally competitive educational ecosystem.

Publication Frequency

This journal is published twice a year (August and February) and supports an Open Access policy, allowing all articles to be freely read and utilized by educators, researchers, policymakers, and students.

Call for Papers

We invite authors to submit their best scholarly articles through our Open Journal System (OJS). All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Contemporary Education and Innovation will undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus.
