The student learning achievement for Social Studies (IPS) in the fourth grade of SDIT Al Uswah Banyuwangi is
considered low, which is below the school's minimum completion criteria (KKM). Students consider IPS to be a
difficult and unpleasant subject. This is because the teaching methods applied by teachers are less varied and seem
conventional. In addition, the use of less innovative learning media also makes students less interested and
unenthusiastic, ultimately also affecting student learning achievement. This learning improvement research was
conducted through classroom action research (CAR). With two cycles of activities carried out, this study aims to
describe the implementation of Think Pair Share (TPS) and determine the results of TPS implementation. The TPS
learning method is implemented through learning media in the form of Fishbone/ Ishikawa diagrams. From the
application of this method, student learning outcomes have increased from 58% in the first cycle to 88% in the
second cycle. Based on the use of this method, it can be concluded that the TPS method can improve student
learning outcomes.
